Tips for Getting the Most out of Reforge Learning

📌 In this article: practical ways to get real value from your membership, from picking a course to applying it at work.

1. Start with a real problem

Reforge is built to be applied. The best first course is the one connected to a project, goal, or challenge you're facing right now, because you can use each lesson on real work while it's fresh.

2. Choose the right level

Courses are designed around recommended experience levels. Picking one that fits where you are today means less frustration and more takeaways. See Understanding Course Tiers.

3. Focus on one course at a time

There are 40+ courses, and no course is a prerequisite for another. You'll get more out of finishing one than skimming several. When you're done, follow the suggested paths in each category guide to choose what's next.

4. Use Guides and Artifacts for quick wins

If you need to get a specific task done, you don't need a full course. Browse the Guides for step-by-step playbooks, and the Artifacts for templates and examples, so you never start from a blank page.

5. Join the Member Slack

Slack is the easiest way to go deeper on what you're learning, ask questions, and learn from other practitioners. It's available to paid annual members. See Setting Up Your Reforge Membership.

6. Bring what you learn back to your team

Share frameworks and templates with your teammates and use them in real planning and reviews. For ideas, see How do other teams connect what they learn on Reforge to their work?

7. Track your progress

Visit My Learning to see your course history, saved Artifacts and Guides, and to download completion certificates.

8. Make the most of your free trial

If you're on the 14-day trial, pick one course that matches a current need, browse Guides and Artifacts that fit your work, and decide before the trial ends whether to continue. You can cancel anytime from your Account page.

9. If you manage a team

Team plans include Learning Plans, which let you assign a set of courses and content to your team, and Reporting, which shows enrollments and completions, time spent learning, and content engagement. See Team Management.
